Terms of Service

The service

BasisBridge provides the service described on this site: BasisBridge is the done-for-you Form 1099-DA reconciliation service — we rebuild the cost basis your broker left blank, tie every sale to its evidence, and hand you (or your CPA) a Form 8949-ready pack. Records reconciliation only — never tax advice, never filing.

Scope

Records reconciliation only — not tax advice, not a tax return. We are not a CPA firm, we give no tax advice, and we never file your return. Any request that crosses into tax advice is declined with a referral to a CPA.

Orders & payment

Prices are published on the pricing page in USD and charged through Stripe. An engagement begins when payment clears and a complete intake is received. The SLA is 5 business days from complete intake; the clock pauses while waiting on the client, with timestamps logged.

Your responsibilities

You provide accurate inputs and documents. Our work is only as good as the information it is built on; material omissions can change the result. Never send passwords, seed phrases, or API keys — if they are offered, we refuse them and re-request CSVs.

Guarantee

The Tie-Out Promise: if our proceeds total doesn't tie to your 1099-DA total, we keep working until the variance is explained line-by-line or you get a full refund. Basis figures we cannot evidence are flagged as exceptions, never invented.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid for the engagement giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

Changes

We may update these terms; the version published here at the time of your purchase governs your engagement.
